The tournament will be held from 22 – 29 July 2010, in Paleohora town, Crete.

MODE: 9 rounds, Swiss System
TIMETABLE: Registration until 11:00 Thursday 22 July  
Opening Ceremony Thu 22 July, starting at 17:00
Closing Ceremony Thu 29 July, starting at 16:30

                               
TIME CONTROL: 90 min for 40 moves + 30min + 30sec per move from the first move.

Α) The results of the players in the same points group
Β) Fide tie – Break
C) Buchholz
D) Sonneborn – Berger
E) The greater number of victories

ENTRY FEE: for the Open will be inversely related to grade:
Free - titled players (GM, IM, WGM, WIM) and players with ELO up 2300+
30 €, players with ELO 2100-2299,   
40 € players under 18
50 € all others players.

PRIZES: Total Prize Fund 8.300 Euro

* For equally matced players, the prices will be shared by the Hort system 
* If a player wins two Special categories prices, he takes the bigger one

Terminal date of deposit is since June 1st. After June 1st, there will be a 5 € increment in entry fees and hotels prices. 

The hospital conditions are available for limited number of players and there will be strict priority list!
TRAVEL INFORMATION: The nearest airport to Paleochora is Chania airport
There will be a bus from the organizers for those players who are travelling by ship at 22 July 2010 at 07.00 o’clock at the morning, leaving directly to Paleochora from Souda port. Please, if you wish to use it, fill in the necessary information at the registration form.
